Veterinarian
Dr. Blake Foskey
Blake was born in Houston but spent most of his childhood in Lake Charles, LA. While he may not have been born Cajun, he’s made it his life’s mission to consume enough boiled crawfish to earn himself an honorary title.
About me
At 3, his family accidentally adopted a Golden Retriever, Skinner, on a trip to the Grand Canyon. Blake & Skinner grew up together. After more than 15 years with his family, Skinner was a major factor in Blake wanting to become a vet. He headed to LSU for his bachelor’s before taking on the challenge of LSU’s School of Veterinary Medicine. He swears they didn’t actually inject themselves with tiger blood, but he unmistakably bleeds purple & gold.
Background & Experience
With his stethoscope around his neck & sarcasm oozing from his pores, Blake epitomizes the NVC mentality. To offer superior vet care while being a great neighbor to his four-legged patients & pet parents. We all love animals but Blake loves people too. He takes great pride in developing lasting relationships with his clients & their families.
After years of practicing, Blake has seen it all. He’s equipped with a wide breadth of knowledge when it comes to routine & preventative care, radiology, endoscopy & ultrasonography. He’s also incredibly talented when it comes to soft tissue surgeries. (If your mastiff tears his meniscus, Blake’s got you covered.) Additionally, Blake’s a learner. He loves to continue learning and growing in his role with Veterinary Medicine.
