Drop off appointments for your convenience.

What are drop-off appointments?

Pet care isn’t always convenient, especially when your pet is ill or injured. But, that shouldn’t stop your beloved companion from receiving the care they need and deserve. Drop-off appointments at Neighborhood Veterinary Centers are a flexible option for busy clients and pets with unexpected health issues.

We offer a set number of drop-off appointments each day, which are always filled quickly on an as-needed basis. Although you won’t be present for your pet’s exam, we deliver regular updates and communication by phone or text, and detailed discharge instructions, to ensure you don’t miss a thing.

Why drop-off your pet?

Common reasons for drop-off appointments include:

  • Routine wellness exams and vaccines
  • Minor injuries, such as a torn toenail, bug bite, or limping
  • Sudden illness
  • Urinary issues
  • Itchy pets
  • Pre-surgical testing
  • Laser or underwater treadmill therapy sessions*

The drop-off appointment typically includes:

  • Detailed history — During or prior to drop off, our team will ask you to describe your pet’s condition and any recent changes.
  • Complete physical exam — A veterinarian will review your pet’s history and perform a physical assessment.
  • Treatment plan discussion — The veterinarian will contact you to discuss their findings and make recommendations.
  • Approved treatment — With your authorization, our team will provide the recommended care.
  • Review of at-home instructions or medications — When you pick up your pet, the veterinarian or another team member will walk you through any treatments, review medication information, and answer any questions.

Whether you have a hectic schedule or the unexpected happens, Neighborhood Veterinary Centers’ drop-off appointments are an easy and convenient way to ensure your pet receives timely care or treatment.
